2018 Best Things Ate


Foodie [foo-dee] noun.

a person that has the unique ability to turn a casual meal into a passionate, life changing experience.

As a self-proclaimed "foodie" photographer, it's in my blood to seek out the most delicious and photogenic dishes I can find anywhere I go. And 2018 was a delicious year, despite all the hardships.

I went to 3 Arts Cafe for FAR too many platters of scrambled eggs (my favorite dish in Chicago!).

I consumed my weight in oysters, both fresh and baked.

I feel madly and deeply in love with Rubirosa Pizza in NYC (the best NYC pizza I've yet found).

I finally made it to Dishoom for Indian food in London and was blown away by how much the flavors brought me back to my 4 months living in Jaipur in 2007.

I ate the best fish taco of my life at Tata in Morelia, Mexico.

And the best egg sandwich from Eggslut in Vegas.

I had the salmon-stuffed everything croissant at Daily Provisions in NYC -- that changed everything.

And I fell madly and deeply in love with all of the dishes at Z Bar (but perhaps just because they're all served on pug plates?)

2018 was a delicious year... I look forward to an even more delicious 2019!
