Sad as it is to admit, 95% of what I wear in winter is a formula.

Like today’s tried and true one:

Turtleneck dress + Coat + Patterned Tights

I wore this combo religiously last winter — it’s such a sophisticated yet easy outfit option on those winter days where you just can’t stand to wear pants anymore (anyone else get sick of wearing pants for weeks straight?).

But with all the brutal weather we’ve been having this month, all I seem to want to wear is dresses and warm weather accessories these days. As if dressing for warmer weather is some sort of defiant retaliation against winter?

Whatever the reason, these summery cork pumps and this brilliant “carries everything” basket bag have been on constant rotation.

It just goes to show in the frigid temps, it’s important to remember the warmer side of life.
