When I was young, my father loved nothing more in autumn than to take my sister and I for a drive through the Morton Arboretum.

Have you ever been?

It’s a magnificent spot in the Chicago suburbs — the original family estate of the Morton Salt owners which they eventually turned into an arboretum. It’s an amazing spot to visit year-round but especially in fall. You can walk through miles of footpaths through the glorious foliage!

For me, it’s one of my most treasured spots and every autumn now I make sure to drive out there at least once to visit the foliage in my father’s memory. And, for the last two autumns, it’s become Anna and I’s blogging tradition too. We fill up on spiced apple cider, drive and walk through the various forests, and take photos wherever the foliage truly takes our breath away. Which is pretty much everywhere we turn…

Where do you go when you want to see the fall foliage?
