Gucci Fall Gray Style Chicago FashionDesigners want me to dress like Spring, in billowing things. I don’t feel like Spring. I feel like a warm red Autumn.

There’s really nothing like fall in the Midwest. This past week the trees have been a spectacular riot of color!

I always try to spend as much time out in nature each autumn as I possibly can. Especially taking long walks through the fall woods. For creative types, this is the time of year when inspiration runs positively wild. It’s the best time to really get your creative juices flowing. And so far we’ve been very lucky — the trees have changed their colors VERY slowly this year. Usually by the first week of November the leaves are completely gone from the trees!

But given what a rough month this has been, I’m ridiculously grateful the weather has proved so beautiful and long-lasting this year. I could easily shoot this sort of fall foliage every day for the rest of my life and never bore of it…
