I had planned a very different post for today but after the horrific murders in Nice during last night’s Bastille Day celebration, I can’t bring myself to write it.

I may be smiling in these photos but I’m certainly not smiling now. When will all this hatred and violence abate? At the very least these continued attacks on innocent lives reveal a very real truth: something has to change.

Sending my love and thoughts to Nice today — may we find a sustainable path to peace. For those of you who would like to help the victims, this article is very helpful (and also warns against the very real issue of fundraising scams which will undoubtedly arise). I will update this post once the Red Cross has opened up donations for the Lyon victims for those of you looking to help.

Wishing you a safe day with your closest loved ones…
