Mother Nature really can’t seem to make up her this spring.

Some days it feels like summer (though all the trees are still bare).

Others feel like winter. We’ve had FOUR snow storms this April — more than I can ever remember getting this late in the year. And quite ironic seeing as we had almost no snow in January and February.

It’s been a frustrating month to be sure.

And while I desperately want to ditch my pants for flowing spring dresses, the weather just will not cooperate. It’s impossible to know how to dress each day and for which weather extremes. Some days I’m in my winter parka, some days I don’t even need a light jacket.

What gives Mother Nature?

These $14 pants have been my spring savior.

And yes, you read that right, $14 pants!

About a year ago I realized how sparse my trouser wardrobe was. I love dresses and skirts, and my closet was jammed with them. But trousers? A pant thats not a jean or a legging? Nope. So I started hunting for a few comfortable pairs of printed pants last summer, debuting my beloved stripe pair at Fashion Week last September.

But these cropped trousers may just be the jackpot! You really can’t beat the price and I love how chic and tailored they look on. No one seems to believe me when I tell them the price and I see that as a GOOD thing.

(Anyone else HATE when budget finds LOOK like budget finds?)

It’s been nice to get to experiment with new lengths and prints in my trousers without breaking the bank. And this cropped version feels enough like a comfortable pajama pant that I don’t even miss my skirts…
