This is it.
This is the last of summer’s greenery.
By this time next week the trees will be decked in warm, golden hues and the greenery will be gone for the year (except for that little bit of holiday greenery that’ll pop up in December).
So this week I’m soaking in all the lively greenery I can. Not because I’m not excited for fall… believe me I am. Just to walk through the autumn woods is one of the best pleasures October can afford! But I’ll miss the vibrancy and life all the greenery brings to our city neighborhood. I’ll miss the energy, the flowers, the birds, and the warmth (though perhaps not the humidity).
Until next year, beautiful greenery! I know come April I’ll be counting down to your return!
