With Johnny still recovery from surgery this week and Hubby in NYC for work, I plan on spending a lot of time at home these next few days.

Specifically a lot of time at home in my kitchen.

Lately I’ve been reflecting a lot on this blog and what my vision is for its future.

I want to work more on creating visually enticing posts. Filled with photos that grab you with color, vibrancy, and beauty. Whether they be of food, fashion, pugs, OR travel.

And — when I’m being honest with myself — the content I enjoy shooting the most are the recipes.

When I first started Sed Bona I intended to publish one recipe a week… these days I’m lucky if I manage it once a month. But cooking and developing flavors in the kitchen is one of my absolute favorite past-times and one of my best sources of creativity. And now that I find myself with a lot of time to kill here at home, I find myself inevitably being drawn into the kitchen.

I’m ready to start cooking and creating! And hopefully you’ll be as excited about the dishes I have planned as I am! In particular I’m developing a delicious mushroom soup for early fall days, a seasonal cocktail inspired by my trip to Amsterdam, and reimagining an old childhood snack.

Stay tuned and for now why not check out some of my other recipes?
