Victoria Beckham for Target

Victoria Beckham Target Alexander Wang Spring OutfitI think the sexiest thing about a woman is confidence, but confidence in a humble way, not in an arrogant way. Sense of humor is definitely important. And sunglasses always hide a multitude of sins. Sunglasses and a great pair of heels can turn most outfits around.

Few designer-high street collaborations have ever piqued my curiosity quite like Victoria Beckham for Target.

Long-time readers KNOW about my obsession with Victoria Beckham’s line (and my obsession with her Liberty Tote). And while I love the pieces of hers I own I’ll be honest that the price point doesn’t lead itself to a massive collection either.

So back while I was visiting her Victoria Beckham showroom in London, I overheard rumors about a possible collaboration with Target. I quickly googled it, squealed loudly once I confirmed it, and immediately put April 9th into my calendar (I wouldn’t dare chance forgetting launch day!).

And then I waited.

And waited.

There’s something about waiting for things we’re REALLY excited for that can feel maddening. Movies we want to see (like Beauty and the Beast), collaborations we want to shop, or experiences we want immerse ourselves in always seem to take FOREVER to finally arrive.

Ironic seeing as time always seems to creep by TOO quickly these days in most other respects.

But April 9th finally came. I was up at 2 am in the Guadalajara airport flying home from Mexico (a trip I cannot WAIT to begin sharing with you this week) and frantically shopped the entire collection hours before the website failed for millions.

Now — despite knowing which pieces from the collection I wanted to buy — it’s impossible to make perfect buying decisions in a Mexican airport at 2 am when the smell of the chilaquiles diner next to you is driving you wild with hunger.

You’re just NOT going to think clearly. “Oh that skirt would look great with… should I get tomatillo salsa or rojo? Wait… when’s my flight to Chicago? Oh, in another four hours. Wait, am I ordering chilaquiles or clothing?”

But I managed. I ordered this stunning pink mini dress (the quality is seriously impressive in person!), this floral dress, and this lace bomber jacket. And ended up keeping them all!

So if you’re looking for an affordable, stylish, chic collection to shop for spring, look no further.

Victoria Beckham consistently produces some of the coolest, most innovative styles season after season and now her designs are available for under $50 — what ARE you waiting for? Here are some of my favorite pieces to get you started:

I was never a natural. I got there in the end because I believe that if you work hard enough, then you can achieve a lot.”
