Of all the 70’s trends being resurrected this season, I’ve been most excited about the chiffon-midi dress. Maybe it’s because I watched a little too much Caddyshack when I was younger but the flowy silhouette reminds me so much of the styles women in that movie wore:And why shouldn’t this style have a comeback? It’s elegant but easy to wear. Not to mention romantic! A light breeze makes the hem swirl and dance in the most poetic way. So when I saw this delicate little number in my favorite LK Bennett, I couldn’t take my mind off it. The print is rather unique too, feeling almost Seurat in nature which is perfect for native Chicagoans like me who grew up mesmerized by his wall-sized piece at the Art Institute (which last year aptly took the title of WORLD’S BEST MUSEUM).
What do you think of the 70s trends hitting the runways this season? Which would you wear and which wouldn’t you?
