Can you believe Valentine’s Day is just days away? Is anyone else in an exceptionally romantic mood this year? Maybe it’s all the Jane Austen films I’ve been binge watching in the last week but this year I’m actually excited for Valentine’s Day.

It feels like love is in the air all around us!

When I first ordered this skirt I fell hard for the opulent print — its reminiscent of the intricate fabrics and patterns decorating Versailles. Being the perfect dark floral for February, I knew I wanted to wear it for Valentine’s Day. Not to mention that its heavy weight and midi length are practically designed to keep me warm in the winter frost! Every time I wear it I feel so luxuriously dressed and yet somehow practical at the same time. It’s a bizarre combination that is rarely found in a skirt under $50!

And because I’m a sentimental fool, I couldn’t stop myself from wearing the same heels, clutch and lipcolor I sported on my Wedding Day with this outfit. What can I say? When you wear red heels on your Wedding Day it feels emotionally mandatory to wear them on every successive Valentine’s Day too.
