Last winter’s polar vortex meant I lived in fur-lined boots and wellies for almost six weeks straight. I missed my heels, and most especially my stilettos, like CRAZY! But even during last winter’s warmest days, I wouldn’t have dared wear heels with all the ice.

As a klutz, that just sounded like a recipe for disaster.

But this winter has been mercifully mild (with the exception of a week or two of the usual brutal weather) and I’ve had the lucky opportunity to wear my heels throughout most of January. Nothing makes this petite girl feel more like a woman than a killer pair of heels! That and red lips.

I just don’t feel like myself when I’m in flats – maybe it’s because I’m missing my feminine weaponry, as Christian Louboutin calls it? Whatever it is, there’s nothing like the effect a good pair of stilettos, or in this case, stiletto boots can have on a woman’s confidence, especially in depths of winter.

Here’s to being able to wear stilettos in winter!
